Looking Glass

This lovely Texas longhorn cow looked somewhat pensive, as she surveyed the lower end of her partially flooded enclosure. The torrential rains in late winter had temporarily changed some of the landscape.

What struck me, as I watched this majestic cow, was her sereneness after the storm, taking advantage of the leftovers of an obvious “gully washer”, by taking a drink from this shallow body of water.

You find there is beauty in everything, most particularly, enriching the landscape with her mirror image in the water for just a fleeting moment. But, that’s all it takes.
