Dall Sheep Original Painting (The Horns Have It II) Offered for Sale

Dall Sheep Original Painting (The Horns Have It II) Offered for Sale

I loved painting this Dall Ram. I was at the Denver zoo a couple of years ago, and this fella was perched up on some rocks just staring at me. He seemed just as interested in his viewers as we were of him. The Dall sheep are from North America and reside in mountainous regions. Their white coats provide a perfect camouflage against the snow and of course their predators of wolves and mountain lions. Their horns are thick, deeply ridged with sharp tips. They curl around as they grow, forming a full circle in about 8 years of age. These annuli (ridges) can be used to determine the age of the sheep.

This particular painting is on a 16” x 20” gallery wrap canvas, suitable to hang as is, sans framing. If you are interested in this piece, please contact Jerry or me through my website for pricing and shipping.

Again, always thanking you for joining me on my painting journey.
