Easy Rider

This beautiful Longhorn steer enjoys the good life at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, where he is part of the parade of breeds, and one of the two Longhorn steers residing at the Museum.

Yankee Doodle was born on July 4th and donated to the museum. His horn style is typically referred to as a handle bar twist. I named the original work of art, Easy Rider, because the image of Peter Fonda’s motorcycle in the famous 1960s movie starring Peter Fonda popped into my head.
