I am so happy to share with you the response from one happy customer. Jerry and I delivered “Lucy” to not only a wonderful client, but friend, as well.
I had made several trips to “Lucy’s” house to get her where she accepted me. It didn’t work for Dana to bring Lucy to my studio, as the 6 lb. Chihuahua simply would not leave her mom’s arms. So, we decided it would be best to visit Lucy in her own surroundings. She let me know that I wasn’t welcome, and not to get near her mom. Patience is a virtue. Each visit brought a little more, “I guess you are alright” from Lucy. Dana explained to me the look she would like captured. She said that she always loved the look of Lucy looking off to the side, as that was what she did the most. So, according to Dana, I nailed it with Lucy’s portrait and how Lucy always appears to her.
The most rewarding aspect of commissioned paintings is that often times, I make a friend in the process. I love that part. Not only that, I absolutely love making people happy. It is a bit of me paying it forward.
