Well, we know these are not stars. There are two planets and one moon.
I just happened to walk outside last Thursday (the 23rd) at about 6:30 PM to feed a neighborhood fox, and I was entranced by the view in the western sky – a heavenly painting.
I took this photo - not thinking of the blog, but then today I realized this was shareable.
I checked my google machine last Thursday evening and found out about this alignment.
It was supposed to be an alignment of Venus, Mars and Jupiter, but since I only saw 2 planets, I am assuming that these were probably Mars and Jupiter and my camera could not distinguish Venus.
