My goal was to finish “Stella” by today. She has such a beautiful face. And, of course, I love her pose. Rather, diva-ish I think. These last 4 companion animal paintings have been like family to me. I think I accomplished what I set out to do with this painting. I haven’t signed it yet, mainly because I haven’t scrutinized it in deciding if I need to nick pick it or not. Just don’t want to seal the deal until I am totally satisfied. So, generally speaking, after I “finish” a painting, I put it away for a period of time, sometimes just a day, other times a week or longer until I am at peace with it. Meanwhile, I have sketched in a horse painting I have been “chomping at the bit” to undertake, as well as a painting of a pair of donkeys. I hope you have enjoyed my awesome journey with my four amigos. It’s time they find their families now.
