I just finished painting this Brahman-cross bull. At least, I think I am finished. Sometimes, I hold my breath thinking I am finished, and there is a problem, like proportions, which will turn a painting up on it’s end if it isn’t done right the first time. The reason is that you then have to go about adjusting everything else. And, then I wonder, how in the world can I be that far off. Always a painting is in progress.

I hope to finish the Black Baldy bull by at least the end of the weekend. I would be so happy. Of course, it has been such a pleasure to paint both of these bulls. I have a couple of bison blocked in that I am also eager to paint, and a group of 4 horses that I know right off is really going to be a challenge
